User guide
Overview
Handle basic arithmetic, scientific calculations (trigonometry, logarithms, square roots, exponents) and unit conversion, all in one calculator. Full keyboard input is supported.
How to use
- Choose a mode: Select one of the Basic, Scientific or Unit Conversion tabs.
- Enter an expression using the on-screen buttons or your keyboard.
- Calculate with the = button or the Enter key.
- Recent calculation history is shown above the result.
Basic calculator
- Arithmetic (+, -, x, /), decimals, negative numbers, percentage calculations
- Chained calculations: continue operating directly on a previous result
Scientific calculator
- Trigonometry: sin, cos, tan, and their inverses (arcsin, etc.)
- Logarithms: log10, ln (natural log)
- Exponents: x², x³, xⁿ, square root, cube root
- Constants: pi, e
- Angle mode: switch between degrees (DEG) and radians (RAD)
Unit conversion
- Length: mm, cm, m, km, inches, feet, miles
- Weight: mg, g, kg, tonnes, pounds, ounces
- Temperature: Celsius (°C), Fahrenheit (°F), Kelvin (K)
- Also covers area, volume, speed, data size and more
Limitations and notes
- Like any software calculator, this uses floating-point arithmetic, so very precise decimal calculations may show tiny rounding errors.
- Calculation history is stored only in your browser and is reset on refresh or when switching devices.
FAQ
Can I view my calculation history again?
Recent calculation history is shown above the display. Click a history entry to load that expression again.
How do I enter angles in radians for trig functions?
Switch the DEG/RAD toggle at the top to RAD before calculating. The default is degrees (°).
Usage tips
- Type numbers and operators (+−*/÷×) with your keyboard, then press Enter to calculate.
- Switching DEG/RAD mode on the Scientific tab changes the angle unit used for trig functions.
- On the Unit Conversion tab, changing the from-unit converts to every unit at once.
- Press Escape for AC (clear) and Backspace to delete the last input.
